When can students move in?
Most move-ins take place in August.  Please call the Leasing Office at 540.552.2996 if you have a different move-in date.

What size are the apartments?
Terrace View has something for everyone. We offer 1,2,3,4 apartments and townhomes. Each apartment having various choices of styles and floor plans.

Are the apartments furnished?
There is an option to include a furniture package at Terrace View for a minimal monthly fee. Prices vary depending on which furniture package you select. Please contact the Leasing Office at 540-552-2996 for pricing and additional informtion.

Can I see an apartment prior to moving in?
Absolutely! Just contact the leasing office at 540-552-2996 to get a tour scheduled!

Can friends room together? How?
Absolutely! Just let us know upon reserving your room who you'd like to room with, and we'll make it happen!

What are the requirements to be able to live at Terrace View Apartments?
General guidelines require either a Guarantor or proof that you make three times the total monthly rent. We also consider I-20's as income proof. Please contact the Leasing Office at 540-552-2996 for additional details.

How do I apply for housing?
You can do all of your application paperwork in the office or via email! You can also apply online on our website!

Can I apply online?
Yes!

When should I apply for housing?
As soon as possible—especially if you have specific requests!

Where do students make housing payments?
You can make payments with personal checks, money orders, or by debit or credit card! These payments can be paid in the office, over the phone, or online!

What amenities are included?
Terrace View offers a fitness center, swimming pool, a hot tub, a pet park, several sand volleyball courts, basketball, tanning bed, cook-out areas, and so much more to come.

Are utilities included?
Terrace View includes high-speed internet, DIRECTV, water, sewer, and trash in all apartments. There is also an option to include your heat and hot water.

How do I set up utilities?
The only Utility that you will need to set up upon move in is electricity. This will either be done with AEP or VA Tech Electric. Both numbers will be provided to you by Terrace View upon moving in.

Is internet included?
Yes, high-speed internet is included!

Is DIRECTV included?
Yes, Direct TV is included!

Are pets allowed at Terrace View Apartments?
Yes, we are a pert friendly community. We allow pets with a pet deposit of $200.00 and a non-refundable pet fee of $200.00. The pet rent is only $20.00 per month.

Is there extra storage facilities available?
Yes, there is extra storage facilities available on site for all Residents!

Are there laundry facilities?
Many of our apartments already have a w/d inside of the apartment. You also have the options of having a washer and dryer placed in your apartment/townhome or using the various laundry facilities located throughout the property (almost every building has a laundry facility).

Do I need rental insurance for my personal belongings?
We don't require rental insurance, but we do recommend it.

When is rent due?
Rent is due on the 1st of each month.

What is the best way to get around campus and the city of Blacksburg?
The Blacksburg Transit runs through Terrace View every fifteen minutes with 14 bus stops throughout Terrace View

I am new to the area, how can I quickly get to know my neighbors?
Terrace View offers a variety of Resident functions. The goal of Terrace View is to get as many neighbors knowing each other as possible. Flyers, emails, and text messages go out notifying the Residents of the events.

Can residents have overnight guests?
Residents are allowed guests in the apartments. As for overnight guests, Residents are allowed overnight guests up to 4 times per month unless you receive permission from your roommates.

Where should my guests park?
Guests can park in guest parking areas or along the street.

Who should I contact if I have a maintenance problem?
During office hours you are welcome to stop by the office or call in to place a service request. In the case of an emergency after hours, please call the emergency hotline 866-717-7406!

Who do I contact if I lock myself out of my apartment?
During office hours you are welcome to stop by the office to pick up a spare key! After hours, please call the emergency hotline 866-717-7406.
